| Ben Spies products 2009 World Super Bike Champion, Ben Spies has had a meteoric rise to the top winning the World Super Bike Championship in his rookie year and then moving straight to MotoGP. This was all after winning the AMA Superbike Championship for the 3rd successive year. In his rookie year at World Super Bikes, Ben broke a number of records including most consecutive pole positions in a season, most poles to start a season and most poles in a row by a rookie. He then went on to set another record of 11 pole positions in a rookie season. He finished the year having won 14 races, 17 podiums and 11 pole positions all despite having little experience of the majority of the circuits on the WSBK calendar. He was awarded rookie of the year in his first season in the premier class and was duly promoted to a factory Yamaha ride (Valentino Rossi’s bike no less!). The likable American is affectionately known as “Elbows” due to his riding style and his collection carries that style forward with bold designs and the all important number 11.
